Multiverse
The multiverse is a hypothetical group of multiple universes. Together, these universes comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space,…
Quantum Theory (mechanics)
Unsolved Problems in Physics Quantum mechanics is a fundamental theory in physics that provides a description of the physical properties…
Quantum Entanglement
Quantum entanglement is a physical phenomenon that occurs when a pair or group of particles is generated, interact, or share…
Holographic Principle
Some physicists actually believe that the universe we live in might be a hologram. The idea isn’t that the universe is some sort of fake…
Wave Function Collapse
In quantum mechanics, wave function collapse occurs when a wave function—initially in a superposition of several eigenstates—reduces to a single eigenstate due to…
Space-Time Bubbles
When quantum theory is applied to space at the smallest possible scale, space itself becomes unstable. Rather than remaining perfectly…
Quantum Vacuum
Quantum mechanics tells us that there is no such thing as empty space. Even the most perfect vacuum is actually…
EARTH without ART is just E…H
Those images represent all hidden negotiations, lobbying and intrigues which lead to the exposure of an artists in a museum of contemporary art. On the other hand they represent all frustrations and disappointment of millions of invisibly rejected artists.
Magritte meets Duchamp meets Kosuth
Rene Magrittes Treachery of Images (La trahison des images) shows a pipe that looks as though it is a model for a tobacco store advertisement, with a text painted below the pipe “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” (“This is not a pipe”). It might seem a contradiction, but is actually true: the painting is not a pipe, it is an image of a pipe. Joseph Kosuth developed this concept further, but we can say both were rooted in Duchamps readymades. With Manovichs concept of an object, ordered and delivered at a distance, we come to quantum theory and Ready-to-be-mades.
