How to Explore Symbol Meanings with the Sigilon Lexicon

The Lexicon is your library of ancient knowledge. Unlike our generative apps, the Lexicon allows you to browse a curated database of alphabets and symbols—including Runes, Hieroglyphs, and more—alongside their deep symbolic meanings. By selecting specific marks that resonate with your intent, you can assemble a personal ritual set or a custom grimoire, as explained in the video below.

To use this tool, browse the categories and CHECK the boxes next to the symbols you wish to use. Each symbol carries a specific psychological and spiritual weight described in the text.

Clicking the CREATE button will compile your chosen symbols into a unified visual set, representing the specific energies or concepts you have selected.

You can export your selected symbol sets in three professional formats:

PNG

PNG files feature a transparent background. This is the best format for designers looking to incorporate ancient symbols into modern art or for creating custom apparel. You can upload these files directly to the Sigilon Zazzle store to create your own personalized merchandise.

JPG

The JPG format provides a solid white background and high contrast. This is ideal for printing your own reference sheets, "cheat sheets" for symbol meanings, or for use in digital documents.

If you wish to isolate specific symbols from your set, you can crop the PNG and JPG images using the default Photos app on your computer, or use the professional open-source editor GIMP, as shown here:

SVG

SVG stands for "Scalable Vector Graphics." Because these images are built with mathematical paths rather than pixels, they are "resolution-independent." You can scale a single symbol from the size of a postage stamp to the size of a building, and it will remain perfectly sharp.

You can preview SVG files in browsers like Chrome or Edge. For further artistic manipulation or to combine symbols into complex layouts, we recommend the free vector tool Inkscape (see video below), Adobe Illustrator, or Corel Draw.

The symbols found here are perfect templates for physical creation. Once exported, they can be used as guides for tattooing, hand-painting, jewelry engraving, or as paths for CNC routers and 3D printers.
